QUALITY ASSURANCE OBSERVATIONS

During the roofing and waterproofing construction K&A provides full and part-time quality assurance observations of the contractor’s installation of the roofing and/or waterproofing system. These site visits may be performed in a single job-site visit during the week or intermittently throughout the week.

Material and system installation are compared against the specifications, drawings, submittal, and manufacturer recommendations. Recommended methods for remediating deficiencies are typically made by citing the construction documents.

Deficiencies observed during our observations that may substantially affect the finished quality of the roof or waterproofing system will be promptly reported the field superintendent for correction. At the completion of the roofing contractor’s work, K&A will prepare a punch list of items to be corrected or completed.

K&A communicates the results of the site visits to the superintendent prior to our departing the project site. A typed report with photographs is e-mailed to the Client approximately 3 days later
