STATIC AIR AND WATER TESTING
ASTM E783 and ASTM E1105 are tests performed to validate the constructed curtain wall or storefront may be expected to perform as specified. The ASTM E783 is performed to determine the airtightness of the system while the ASTM E1105 is performed to verify the system can effectively manage water.
PULL TESTING
Using our in-house Com-Ten load cells (either our 1,000-lb load cell or our 4,000-lb load cell), we perform these tests to determine the pull-through resistance of a fastener through a substrate (e.g., a screw through a steel deck). The 4,000-lb load cell is used to perform adhesion testing.
What is Building Envelope Commissioning?
The Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) process is utilized to validate that the design and performance of materials, components, assemblies and systems achieve the objectives and requirements of the owner.
