SpawGlass constructed a multi-story, multi-family apartment complex in the Houston area. The building exterior cladding consisted of stucco, metal panels, and brick over wood-framed construction, with the roofing systems consisting of an asphalt shingle as well as a low-sloped roofing membrane. A multi-level parking garage was also constructed attached to the apartment complex.

Quality Assurance Observations
As part of SpawGlass’s quality assurance program, K&A was hired to provide design consulting services, attend design and project meetings, and provide quality assurance observations during construction. The windows on this project included single-hung and mulled recessed nail fin windows. Incorporating building wrap, straight and flexible waterproofing tape, K&A developed the construction detail and sequence for waterproofing the window systems.
